Desiree Nazarian is a trauma focused and intentional LCSW. Her clinical orientation as a therapist is trauma informed and somatically rooted, based in, relational, and psychodynamic approaches. Desiree works alongside her clients to navigate the complexities of intimate partner betrayal and the nuances of betrayal trauma for men and women. Desiree is a first-generation Iranian American who deeply understands the role culture and family systems play in identity and boundary formation within BIPOC and immigrant communities. Her work involves bringing attention to one’s internal experience and allowing deep awareness of the spoken language of the body to allow for subconscious messages to be released and revealed. In previous years, Desiree worked in the nonprofit sector providing intensive holistic and supportive counseling and service provision to Holocaust Survivors while identifying the impacts of their generational wisdom and trauma. Desiree is a Certified Partner Trauma Therapist, Certified Sex Addiction Therapist and is a member of (IITAP) International Trauma and Addiction Professionals.
