Heidi Esterman

Psychologist, PsyD

Dr. Heidi Esterman is a psychologist in private practice and a Supervising Psychologist at The Motherhood Center of New York.

Dr. Esterman has experience working with the perinatal population in both outpatient and inpatient settings. She has provided psychological services for a wide range of diagnoses and presentations in the context of the perinatal period, including trauma, personality disorders, and severe and persistent mental illness. She has expertise working with women recovering from postpartum psychosis, depression, anxiety, and perinatal loss.

Dr. Esterman also has specialized training in couples therapy through the William Alanson While Institute. Treatment is directed at helping couples navigate conflict, improve communication, and strengthen their relationship.

Peggy Loo

Peggy Loo, PhD is a NYC-based psychologist with a special interest in working with high achieving professionals struggling with fertility, anxiety, burnout, relationship stress, or transitioning to new motherhood. She is a certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C) and a graduate of Columbia University, where she researched BIPOC mental health and interracial relationship stress.

Lauren Bronstein

Judith Brisman

Dr. Judith Brisman was the Founding Director of the Eating Disorder Resource Center for over 35 years. She is co-author of Surviving an Eating Disorder: Strategies for Family and Friends, is an associate editor of Contemporary Psychoanalysis and is on the editorial board of the journal Eating Disorders. She is a member of the teaching faculty of the William Alanson White Institute and she maintains a private practice in New York City.
Dr. Brisman is known internationally as among the first in her field to develop a treatment program for bulimic patients. She has published and lectured extensively regarding the interpersonal treatment of eating disorders.

Karen Perlman

Karen Perlman, LCSW is a seasoned clinician, with over 3 decades of experience, who works with individuals, couples, families and groups. Her early training from NYU Silverman School of Social Work, and Ackerman Institute for the Family informed her treatment as a family systems therapist. In more recent years, she has incorporated an evidenced based approach using CBT to treat depression and anxiety, as well as a relationship model that helps her clients disentangle from power struggles and learn skills for more effective communication. Professionally trained as an ADHD coach, she often uses coaching in combination with CBT for her clients with executive function challenges. Nirit Gordon

Dr. Gordon has specialized training in trauma treatment, women's mental health and immigration. In her clinical work, she integrates relationship-focused, trauma-informed treatment with evidence-based techniques, including EMDR.

Originally from Israel, Dr. Gordon Dr. Gordon completed her B.A. in social work from Tel Hai College in Israel with a specialization in the treatment of trauma and post-trauma.
She received her M.A. from the Transdisciplinary Violence and Trauma Studies Program at New York University and completed her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at New York University’s Department of Applied Psychology.
Nirit Currently serves on the currently serve on the executive committee at the Integrative Trauma Treatment Program at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies and teaches at New York University.
