Ellen Katz Westrich

I am a psychologist licensed in NY and CT. I work with clients who want to address depression, anxiety, interpersonal/family difficulties, and past traumatic experiences. I aim to support clients in processing past trauma, reducing PTSD symptoms, feeling more empowered in their lives, and connecting to their values. I also work with individuals with OCD and other anxiety disorders.

I also provide neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessment to children (age 8+), adolescents, and adults in order to assess for and diagnose intellectual disability, learning disorders, and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). I assess for different domains of functioning (i.e., cognitive, academic, language, learning/memory, attention/executive functioning, emotional, behavioral, adaptive) to get a comprehensive picture of one’s functioning and helps collaborate with schools, etc. to find appropriate accommodations for her clients.

In my private practice, Mindful Medication Psychiatry, I provide care virtually to patients in NY and NJ. In-person sessions can be arranged on an as-needed basis at locations throughout NY & NJ.

Alison Brown

I am a licensed clinical psychologist and have been in the private practice of psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, and supervision for 25 years. I have an extensive background in group work, substance misuse, and eating disorders, but over the years have transitioned to a focus on working with writers, artists, actors, dancers, playwrights, and other creative types. Another concentration in my clinical work involves psychodynamic and practical approaches to ADHD and broad autism phenotype. My clinical approach integrates a variety of psychoanalytic perspectives with DBT and other skills-based modalities.

In addition to my private practice, I am an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry at CUMC, and have been a long-term Faculty and Executive Committee member at the Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research. At the Center, I have held a number of leadership and curriculum development roles, including Chair of the Psychology Division, Director of Externship Training, and most recently, Curriculum Co-chair and Co-chair of the post-Freud theory courses. I am also on the editorial boards of JAPA and The Psychoanalytic Quarterly.

Jenny Mariaschin-Rudin

Jenny Mariaschin-Rudin is Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been providing therapy to children, adolescents, and adults for over 15 years in New York City. Jenny graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Wesleyan University and her MSW from NYU School of Social Work. Jenny works with youth and adults, blending evidence based practices and insight oriented therapy to help clients cope with overwhelming emotions and navigating the stresses of daily life. Jenny is trained in CBT, DBT, and Neurodiversity-Affirming care to support clients and family members of clients dealing with diagnoses of ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
