I am a reproductive psychiatrist and psychotherapist with specialty training in women's mental health issues across the reproductive lifespan. I am on the faculty at NYU School of Medicine and also served as Associate Director of the adult psychiatry residency training program. I currently teach the supportive psychotherapy curriculum to NYU psychiatry residents and have a private practice in Greenwich Village and Brooklyn Heights.

Rebecca Harrington

Clinical Social Work/Therapist, DSW, LCSW

I've been in private practice since 1999, working with adolescents and adults of all ages in individual, couples, and group therapy. I have a special interest in working with college students, recent college graduates, and emerging adults. I also provide clinical supervision to psychotherapists at varied stages of practice and experience, including candidates pursuing psychoanalytic training, LMSWs working toward New York State licensure, and seasoned social workers, psychologists, and psychoanalysts.

I hold a Doctorate of Social Welfare (DSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work, where I also became certified in social work field instruction. I holds a Certificate in Psychoanalysis from the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center (PPSC), and am a graduate of The Women’s Therapy Centre Institute (WTCI), which trains clinicians to help women with eating problems and body image issues.

Vikas Gupta

Dr. Vikas Gupta is a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in women’s mental health, holistic wellness, and integrative care. With dual training in adult and child/adolescent psychiatry, he brings a nuanced understanding of mental health across the lifespan. He holds four board certifications, including in obesity medicine and community/public psychiatry. Dr. Gupta is the Founder and CEO of Wellness Psychiatry, a private practice dedicated to empowering women through compassionate, evidence-based care. His expertise includes treating depression, anxiety, trauma, postpartum disorders, and stress-related conditions unique to women’s lives. He has held leadership roles in national psychiatric organizations and contributed to major educational and clinical initiatives. A former Harvard Medical School faculty member, he integrates academic rigor with a warm, patient-centered approach. He is passionate about providing culturally attuned care for diverse women, including professionals, creatives, mothers, and caregivers. In addition to clinical work, he advocates for holistic and lifestyle-based interventions to support women’s emotional resilience. Sophie believes in the importance of holding space for clients to identify their strengths and seek personal empowerment.
