I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NY currently providing video psychotherapy sessions. I see adolescents, adults, and couples who are dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, relationship and family issues, academic stressors, and identity development. I approach psychotherapy holistically, integrating models such as Internal Family Systems Theory, The Ackerman Relational Approach and Trauma Theory. Working in an environment focused on social justice, it is important to me to be able to help clients navigate issues related to experiences of racism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, and sexism. My intent is to work collaboratively with clients to develop and support their own personal goals and journey of healing.

I have my Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience & Behavior and Master's Degree in Social Work from Columbia University. I have postgraduate training in couples and family therapy from The Ackerman Institute, as well as postgraduate training as an Internal Family Systems Therapist. Prior to starting in private practice, I have provided psychotherapy in a community-based and school-based settings.

Dr. Kafker specializes in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), which helps families strengthen relationships and teaches caregivers to be the therapist at home and effectively manage their young children's difficult behaviors. In addition to PCIT, she is highly experienced with and passionate about working with adolescents and adults to manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma.

While I tend to utilize a DBT-informed approach most frequently I am also influenced by Somatic Experiencing Therapy and mindfulness more generally. I used to run a comprehensive, team-based medicaid funded mental health program for those with serious mental illness so I am experienced with voice hearers, vision seers, and those with delusions.

Beatrice Y. Kraemer

Dr. Kraemer is the founder of Parenting At Its Best, a parenting education, support and guidance practice that helps parents and children create strong, successful and healthy relationships, and also teaches parents and caretakers in all existing family structures the skills they need to support their children in reaching their full potential. She offers individual therapy to children and adolescents, offers pre-marriage counseling and couples therapy. She also offers parent coordination services and supports children and parents through the process of separation. Dr. Kraemer offers services in English and German language.

She has mostly worked in large hospital settings and very familiar with working with population with oncology, chronic/serious illnesses, and grief/bereavement/loss. Also being Asian American, Kimberly is comfortable in working with adults in the nuances around identity, including intergenerational trauma.

Brittany (Becker) Kravat

With 10 years in the Mental Health field and countless individuals and families served, I am excited to start my next chapter in private practice! I am a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor with expertise in helping young adults and families navigate the impact of mental health on them and their loved ones. I have held roles from Clinical Intern to Clinical Director and bring a deep understanding of how mental health conditions manifest differently for each person and how important holistic and individualized care is in providing effective treatment and creating sustainable growth. My sessions typically involve aspects of DBT, CBT, and executive functioning skills. I enjoy working with those clients that have many different mental health and life challenges going on at once and helping them to become more self-aware and empowered to make edits to life where necessary!
