I am on the faculty at NYU School of Medicine and also served as Associate Director of the adult psychiatry residency training program. I currently teach the supportive psychotherapy curriculum to NYU psychiatry residents and have a private practice in Greenwich Village and Brooklyn Heights.

She is also a graduate of the EMDR Clinical Affiliate Program at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies (NIP) Trauma Treatment Center in New York City. With a patient-centered, evidence-based approach, Ms. Brownstein provides individual and family therapy, helping clients develop effective coping strategies and build emotional resilience. She also offers supervision to LMSW therapists working toward their clinical license, supporting their professional development.
