I am a reproductive psychiatrist and psychotherapist with specialty training in women's mental health issues across the reproductive lifespan. I am on the faculty at NYU School of Medicine and also served as Associate Director of the adult psychiatry residency training program. I currently teach the supportive psychotherapy curriculum to NYU psychiatry residents and have a private practice in Greenwich Village and Brooklyn Heights.

Dr. Alpern is the founder of Center Psychology Group. She is an EMDR clinician certified by EMDRIA, the organization dedicated to upholding the modality’s standards. She is also a graduate of the EMDR Clinical Affiliate Program at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies (NIP) Trauma Treatment Center in New York City. Dr. Alpern is an EMDRIA-approved consultant and provides individual and group consultation to EMDR therapists. Dr. Alpern is also an Advanced-level Somatic Experiencing practitioner (SEI). She earned her MSW from the Silverman School of Social Work at Hunter College and completed advanced training in child and adolescent psychotherapy at The William Alanson White Institute.

Ms. Brownstein has worked in diverse settings, including Medicaid clinics, domestic violence clinics, and schools, gaining extensive experience in supporting individuals across various life circumstances. Additionally, she has established and built ad-hoc mental health clinics in emergency shelters for displaced survivors, where she and a team of mental health professionals recruited, trained, and supervised therapists in crisis and trauma management for individuals in acute distress.

With a patient-centered, evidence-based approach, Ms. Brownstein provides individual and family therapy, helping clients develop effective coping strategies and build emotional resilience. She also offers supervision to LMSW therapists working toward their clinical license, supporting their professional development.

Her goal is to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where clients can manage their emotions, overcome challenges, and achieve lasting emotional well-being.

Carol J. Kramer, LCSW is a sought after clinical Imago Faculty trainer, therapist and workshop presenter specializing in working with couples. She was trained by Dr. Harville Hendrix and has presented courses and trainings with him at Fordham University Graduate School of Social Work, Continuing Ed; Omega Institute, Kripalu and the Cape Cod Institute for over 15 years.

Carol believes that Imago skills and foundational theory can help couples move from rupture to repair. She also presents workshops on deepening one's ability to improve communication in all types personal and professional relationships
